Michael J. Dix, President and Founder
Michael has more than 25 years experience in sophisticated real estate investing. Originally from England, Michael relocated to British Columbia and travelled extensively throughout the province. This hands-on experience provided great insight into which areas and communities would make attractive investment opportunities. He quickly appreciated the tremendous attraction of, and potential long term returns from, investing in the Greater Vancouver Area, Fraser Valley, Southern Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Starting as more of a business sideline, these investments gradually became a significant portfolio of real estate properties. By focussing on under-valued buildings he was exposed to disadvantaged tenants very early on, and over the years he has developed a keen awareness of, and a strong sense of compassion towards those in need, and to help those people help themselves. The business has now grown large enough to enable Michael to remove himself from traditional employment and he is now dedicated solely to further developing the business.
Michael's formal education includes a Masters of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia, and a First Class Honours degree in Business Studies from Kingston University, England. He is also a Commonwealth Scholar. Formal work experience includes more than 20 years with large multinational corporations, and several years as a self-employed professional contract negotiator and large project procurement specialist.
